Joining Date: The date you officially start the internship or job.
Example
Your offer says your joining date is 1 July, so you plan travel and college formalities around it.
Why Joining Date matters for IT interns
Changing it at the last minute leaves a poor first impression. If you need a different date, ask early and politely.
Where you will hear it
You will come across this term while searching for internships, reading offers, and talking to recruiters or your college placement cell. If someone uses it and you are not sure what they mean in your project, it is completely fine to ask; every team uses terms a little differently.
